Savers/Value Village Thrift Stores Seek Style-Savvy Teens for Fashionable 'ReDesigner' Campaign
Seattle, Wash. (PRWEB) June 14, 2007 -- From vintage-clad trendsetters, to designing divas, to funky fashionistas, when it comes to the latest looks, today's teens are flocking to secondhand stores and transforming cast off clothing into hip new styles. To celebrate this growing trend, Savers/Value Village, an international chain of thrift department stores, today announced its second annual search for six fashion-forward teens to serve on the company's popular "ReDesigner" board and share their unique style with the world! Applications are being accepted now through June 25, 2007, at www.savers.com or www.valuevillage.com.
Open to U.S. and Canadian teens (13-19), the 2007-2008 ReDesigners will kick-off their new role with an all-expense paid trip to Seattle -- home to Savers/Value Village headquarters -- to gain hands-on experience in the fashion and retail industry. The July 9-13 week-long excursion includes shopping local stores, assembling fall trends with a thrift twist, sharing style insights and starring in a back-to-school photo shoot styled by the ReDesigners. Throughout the remainder of the year, ReDesigners will serve as company spokespeople and participate in fashion events, future photo shoots, seasonal trend spotting and more.
Ideal applicants will be frequent thrift shoppers and in tune to the emerging secondhand scene. Whether it's an eye for spotting vintage, a knack for mixing and matching, the talent to reconstruct new things from old, or simply adding a do-it-yourself touch to personal style, Savers/Value Village is calling all teens with a flair for fashion.
