Charity Pub Crawl For Kids
(PRWEB) September 25, 2007 -- The 2007 Hancock Street Pub Crawl For Little Hearts will be held on Saturday, October 20th starting at 11am at the Irish Pub in Quincy, Massachusetts. The crawl raises awareness and money for Little Hearts, an organization that helps kids and families dealing with congenital (present at birth) heart defects.
In its fifth year, the pub crawl is the biggest in the Boston area, visiting 20 bars over a 2.5 mile course over 10 hours. To date it has raised over $16,000. Much like a walk-a-thon, the event raises money by having crawlers seek out sponsorships to support their crawling efforts. In addition, crawlers sell raffle tickets to friends and family, and to the general public.
Most importantly, the crawl helps find families that benefit from the free services of Little Hearts.
Registration for the crawl ends October 10th, 2007. People and companies interested in participating in or supporting the crawl are encouraged to visit the web site and either register or contact pub crawl organizers.
